KRDC is Berlin's BIPOC/QUEER/FLINTA dance collective — a troupe, a community, and the home of King Rose Dance Lab, the city's first BIPOC/Queer friendly open dance class series for adults.
Not a niche — a company
We are not a company that happens to have queer dancers. King Rose Dance Collective is built so that BIPOC, queer and FLINTA artists are centred rather than accommodated — in the studio, in the casting, and in the work itself.
Founded by Nicholas Isaiah King Rose, KRDC is Germany's pioneering BIPOC/QUEER/FLINTA dance troupe: ballet, contemporary styles, and everything in between, made by people who are usually asked to fit into someone else's idea of dance. The point is representation — who gets to be seen on a stage in Berlin, and who gets to decide what dance looks like.
That work happens in two places: on stage with the collective, and in the studio at King Rose Dance Lab.

What it feels like to train here
You won't be the only one
For a lot of people this is the first time they have danced in a room where they are not the exception. That changes what you are willing to try.
Everybody starts together
Every class opens with the same warm-up, so an absolute beginner and a working professional begin in exactly the same place.
